Second Life Family Posts on iRez

I’ve written two new posts on iRez that you may want to check out. I’ve noticed, as someone that has worked and visited a lot of clubs in Second Life, that the idea of “family” is central to what people seem to be looking for in Virtual World. More recently, I’ve become friends with people who take the concept of having a family in Second Life considerably more seriously than simply attaching a metaphor to a group of friends. The first post in the series on Second Life Families tries to answer why people might choose to start or belong to one, the second post addresses how one might grow a Second Life family, using adoption services. I’m struggling a bit with my direction for post 3, so if you’re interested in this subject, please go to the links above and leave a comment on the post. I’d love to know what you think of Second Life families, and where I can take this exploration further. Thanks!

Oh, you haven’t seen the new theme yet? Yes, I made the change and am pretty happy with it 🙂 I’ll think I’ll stick to this for a while.
